Does my audio data leave my computer?

In local mode with whisper.cpp: never. All transcription runs entirely on your Mac. If you use Groq cloud, audio is sent to Groq for processing — but your API key is stored securely in macOS Keychain, never in plaintext files.

Which languages are supported?

Both Groq Whisper and whisper.cpp support 90+ languages. The LLM cleanup layer auto-detects language, so you can dictate in English, Mandarin, Spanish, and more without switching settings.
